How To Use

The test strips are very easy to use and come with a matching colour scale for identification. You get quick results.
Simply hold the test strip briefly in the water to be tested, wait 1-2 minutes and compare the pH value with the colour scale provided.

Why is pH value control necessary?

The longer a substrate sits in the pot, the more acidic the substrate becomes (lower pH value). The pH value is important for the availability of nutrients in the substrate, the optimum range is pH5.5-6.5. If you recognise from the plant that the pH value is not right, it is usually already too late. The pH value should therefore be checked regularly; a simple way of checking this is to collect the irrigation water. Then hold a test paper in the water and compare it with the enclosed scale. If the pH value is below 5.5, it can be improved quickly and easily with our dolomite lime.
