Fertilizer

Plants need the necessary nutrients for healthy growth. Fertilisation improves plant nutrition, promotes plant growth, increases yield and improves the quality and shelf life of the flowers. Plant nutrients are required by different plants in different quantities. A distinction is therefore made between macronutrients (main nutrients) and micronutrients (trace nutrients).
Macronutrients include nitrogen, potassium, phosphorus (see also phosphate fertiliser), magnesium, sulphur and calcium. Micronutrients include boron, chlorine, copper, iron, manganese, molybdenum, nickel and zinc. Micronutrients fulfil a variety of functions in plants, for example as components of enzymes, in metabolic reactions and in hormone balance. The fertilisation of the plant must be adapted to the season, soil moisture, plant requirements and much more.
Influences on plants have also been proven for the following chemical elements: Aluminium, arsenic, cerium, chromium, fluorine, gallium, germanium, iodine, cobalt, lanthanum, lithium, manganese, sodium, rubidium, selenium, silicon, titanium, vanadium and others.
Our orchid fertiliser Orchid Quick is specially designed for epiphytic plants and is based on many years of experience.

Plant protection products

Unfortunately, our favourite plants are often threatened by diseases (also brought in from abroad) such as insects, arachnids and much more. Plant protection products are a help here. Unfortunately, they are also toxic and can cause damage to humans, animals and the environment.
1 Therefore, please only use pesticides authorised in the EU. These are constantly tested for their toxicity to water, bees and much more, and are withdrawn from the market in case of doubt.
2 Nevertheless, both the user and the environment should be protected when using plant protection products:
- Use protective clothing such as gloves, absorbent textiles and keep treated plants away from children and animals.
- Always use up any plant protection products that have been mixed, do not dispose of leftovers in waste water or on the lawn.
- Always store plant protection products in their original packaging away from food and out of the reach of children.
- Integrated plant protection: Hygiene, good cultivation, correct plant husbandry result in healthy plants that can usually defend themselves against diseases.
Note: Plant diseases are weakness parasites that primarily attack weak plants.
